A tender addition to the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin and upcoming books.Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.
Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

Too short for the price
I loved the continuation of the saga but this book was too short for the price we had to pay.

Just good enough
So I loved the little glimpses into the relationships and the break from all the crazy action but I felt the switch perspectives was too forced.

Not worth the money!
I loved the other books in this series so I thought this would be the same caliber. It didn’t even seem like the same author wrote it. It was super short (definitely not worth my $14) and the story line was sub par.

Awesome book
I’m seriously enjoying reading this trilogy. I’ve read the thorn of glass and I loved reading that one to the very end of the trilogy.

Hm...k? I guess
I read other reviews and knew what I was getting into with this one...not much. As one reviewer wrote, a Christmas special. I could have done without and had it center around Feyre’s BDay instead. XMas isn’t a happy-go-lucky time for everyone. But I read so I didn’t miss anything in the series. Ms. MAAS, thank you for the effort, but let’s not put your readers through something like this again.

It’s basically an epilogue but the same price as a novel
This series is so good but this book was disappointing

Unfinished and TBH too fluffy
This book really didn’t stand on its own very well. I have enjoyed the other books in the series, but they were about good vs evil and strong female characters an this one was about...real estate? It just seemed a little too domesticated for these characters. The author agrees in the Q&A in the back that the book is a little more than a novella, but it’s not really described as such. Good for a quickie, but be warned it’s just a Christmas special with no real story or teeth.

It’s a sweet way to say goodbye to some of the storylines, while at the same time opening up some other ones. I love the characters so much, I’ve re-read the series more times than I can count. This novella was so cute, well-written (as usual), and just lovely. I can’t wait for the next installment. My favorite series to date!!!!

I know a lot of people are kind of disappointed with this, but I loved it. It was just the right thing for me to end the series (for now) as I got a little glimpse of their lives after the war. I will take any small part of story SJM will give because I love the characters and story so much. But SJM also explains a little on why it’s a novella and her reasons are perfectly sound. Nesta’s story is supposedly next after this, so I am excited!
